Our multi-national partner company had their local servers decommissioned and they needed a strong database with processing power flexibility.  They were looking for automated dashboards and quick access to metrics.  Their American counterpart had already upgraded to Snowflake. 

Solution

I4c provided multiple consultants including a MicroStrategy Developer, ETL Developers to augment their existing team.  They utilized Snowflake for database conversion, time travel function (access historical data that has been changed or deleted) and more during a migration from Business Objects to MicroStrategy Cloud.

Our consultants migrated data from Oracle to Snowflake and utilized Snowflake to help with migration from Business Objects to MicroStrategy Cloud.  They made great use of the database conversion tool and time travel function in Snowflake to structure the data.  Finally, they built training documents for stakeholders for Snowflake.

Results

Snowflake is being utilized throughout the company for dashboards, data needs and during this ongoing migration.  We are on course for a successful migration, to be completed end of 2023.

In this scenario, Snowflake’s tools are helping our partner through a complicated migration without service interruption. Snowflake will give them the ability to analyze data from multiple sources to assist with important business decisions.
